Blue Spring Manor 10yr Anniversary, Overnight Stay giveaway!
Congratulations Winner Sherri Rose
"Alabamas Best Kept Secret.....July 19, 2010 My boyfriend, Drew Bingen and I, Sherri Rose celebrated our 2 year Anniversary from the day we first met each other. We talked about going somewhere special and Blue Spring Manor came up. We had never heard of this place before, but Drew's sister said she stayed there with her boyfriend and it was Fabulous! From the first phone call to ask about reservations to the time we had to leave was an experience we will never forget. Highlights of our stay...Walking into the Manor we immediately felt welcome and in about 5 minutes we felt totally relaxed and like we were on vacation, About that time Kathy asked us what time would you like to have dinner and where would you like it served? That's when we fell in love with the place! The entire dinner that Doris and Kathy prepared was fit for a King and Queen I would not be able to do the filet justice by telling you how delicious it was it is something that you have to try for yourself, but the bread, omg the bread!!! We make this almost everyday since our visit, haha. Walking out the back door into what felt like a five star retreat was something we will never forget. As we walked around the grounds the feelings of happiness and peacefulness just overwhelmed us, from the koi pond to the horseshoes, to the fresh herb garden, and the biggest treat of all was the living Christmas tree!!! Christmas in July it truly was! We stayed in The Sunset Suite, we just stood there admiring the gorgeous room for about 5 minutes, all of a sudden it hit us that we didn't have to do anything but just enjoy this wonderful time together. Our nicknames our Yogi and Booboo so of course we were so happy that Blue Spring Manor had a picnic basket, it was better than we had ever imagined a picnic could be from the strawberry salad to the grilled chicken sandwich to the assortment of cheese and crackers all topped off with a beautiful bottle of champagne!!! We did not want this feeling to stop, on the way driving home we were so very grateful to be able to experience all of this and to this day we try to incorporate all the little extras that were bestowed upon us during our stay. Each morning I wake up to a wonderful cup of coffee in my one of a kind handmade coffee cup that Drew bought me at the end of our stay and I have arranged a variety of glass jars that I am filling with all types of goodies, it brings back memories of us walking in the lobby and enjoying all the endless jars of goodies you had. We want to say a big Thank You to all involved in our Anniversary getaway, it was really life-changing!!!"
See you soon, Sherri Rose
